Strong minds - mental awareness

Many of us in this modern world are chaotic when it comes to fighting for one's rights. Like mental health. 450 million people around the globe are already suffering from a mental illness. It is actually a highly-ranked issue today. But there is a charity in New Zealand called "Heads Together" It was created by John Kirwan and Mike King and supported mental health awareness. I have created a poster here:

Background:
I have set an Aloe Vera plant as my background because it has a great effect on the mental health. It lowers depression to.
Picture:
I have added a lavender as a mouth because the lavender increases relaxation and lowers anxiety. It is one of the most stress-relieving plants in the world. I have added chamomile as the eyes because it helps calm down insomnia and it too, lowers anxiety to the mind. Flowers always have a quirky and vital effect to our health and that's why I added them on the side.
Title (catchphrase...maybe):
I have put "I'm Okay" as my title because you commonly hear people who say that and you get confused weather or not they're not okay. So that's why I wrote that down. I also wrote at the bottom strong minds saves lives because all around the world, everyone is strong and it literally saves yourself from mentally damaging yourself.

  1. Kia ora Ruby-Rhain,
I have just returned form holiday and see all the posts you have published. What an achievement! I have read lots of them and am impressed by the way you express yourself. Your poster gets your message across clearly.

I think that the explanation of your choices adds significantly to the post. I love lavender and have some drying at the moment to make posies out of.

  2. Kia Ora Ruby-Rhain,

This poster that you created for the charity ‘Heads Together’ is amazing. Heads together is such an awesome charity that helps so many people with mental illnesses.

I like how each part of your poster has a meaning - it makes the poster you have created very special. Ka Pai on including those meanings into your blog post - this has really helped me to understand your thought process during the design of this poster.

The slogan that you added ‘Strong Minds save Lives’ is inspiring, it shows how if we believe in ourselves great things can happen!
